OSD display on AT32F415CBT7/Atari STf

Post by mcastrillo »

Hello. I’m trying to set up the emulator to use it on a Gotek board with the AT32F415CBT7. I’ve created a custom configuration and tested both with and without selecting “AT32F435 Compatibility.” I’ve wired the corresponding pins. Since it’s an Atari STf, I created the custom version of the firmware with the VSYNC option and connected PIN1 to the correspond on the Atari board for the VSYNC signal (my ST board is C103414 rev1.1, diode CR13).

When I turn on the computer, there’s a very loud beep from the Gotek board, and it doesn’t work, also the OLED screen fills with garbage. It only works if I disconnect the VSYNC signal cable, then the OLED and amulator works again.

What does the continuous beep mean? Am I forgetting to do something?

Note : OSD feature currently supported on all STM32F105 and AT32F435 (AT4.35 / U100LQD with F435 MCU) Goteks !

This is why : this is currently not tested and supported on very low cost F415 goteks.

i may have a look to see if this possible to support it on this, but it may be not possible to display something when an image is loaded : there is no enough memory in the F415 mcu.

Ah! I see. The problem, then, lies in the limitations of the chip. I thought it would be more compatible  Thank you very much for your response!
