Hi HxC Folks,
I wanted to make a blank disk for my Kurzweil K2000RS, which can be used to save my work on, so I have insert a random downloaded .KRZ disk [K2000 raw format], which has been converted with the HxC Floppy Emulator to .HFE.
My Floppy Emulator is running firmware version 3.1.46.1A
I have attached two examples [Pictures], one where I let the K2000 format it as 720k and one as 1.4 MB.
Both were not able to be converted.
Please see result of formating here:

Re: Kurzweil K2000 formatting disk verified failed [error]
You can't format a HD HFE as a DD image.
Anyway just use an 1.44MB DOS IMG file (attached).
EDIT : Btw which usb stick are you using ? (brand & model?)

Re: Kurzweil K2000 formatting disk verified failed [error]
Hi Jean,
The usb stick is no-branded and the cheapest possible found on eBay, but they have worked fine so far for loading and saving.
When I convert your provided disk image to .HFE and try to format it, then I get “Verify failed!, Track: 0”.
I came to a work-around as deleting the .KRZ files manually instead of formatting.

you don't need to convert it : the firmware directly support img files !teevee wrote: Fri Apr 26, 2019 10:35 am Hi Jean,

I think that your usb stick is just too slow for the hfe format process.
this should work better with img files in your case.

So if I'm reading this right, if I only wish to create blank floppy images for my K-2000 to use (I.E. I don't have any interest in downloading and transferring sounds off of the internet) then all I have to do is copy over that 1.44MB DOS IMG file and create duplicates with name variations and the kurzweil will just save to those images?Jeff wrote: Fri Apr 26, 2019 9:59 am You can't format a HD HFE as a DD image.
