What means weto?

Post by Coyote »

I would like to format a 720 KB img, then it appears the message WETO.

What means this message?

We need a empty 720KB image, because with the Emulator Sofware we can`t create it.

Thanks Coyote

Means "Write Error - Timeout". The SD card floppy emulator does not support the formatting, you have to create empty *.hfe files from within the Windows software (HxC Floppy Emulator Software).

This means "Write Error - Time out".

With which computer are you using the emulator ?

I use a Pentium II with Win 98Se for testing. Late this drive should be works on a old CNC Lathe to replace the 720 kB Drive.
Can you say me why i can`t create a img with the Software? Also i can`t create FM track type. In config file it is the same. The emulater append the Message: BAD HXCSDFE.CFG.

Can anyone give me an empty 720kB img and a configfile with following options: Mode: IBM PC 720kB, Drive ID: DRVSA, Twisted cabel: none, Auto: none, Disable Drive: none

Or other assistance as I am currently in Indonesia with poor Internet availability.

Thanks to all who help me here

You can create an empty HFE file image !
------------------------------------------------------------
To do this :

-> Click on the "Load Raw image" button
-> Set the floppy parameters of your target (number of track/sector/side...)
-> Click on the "Create Empty Floppy" button
-> Click on the "Export" button and save the Empty HFE file.

------------------------------------------------------------
You can also create an MSdos floppy disk:
-> Click on the "Create FS Floppy" button.
-> Choose the floppy type (example : "720KB MS DOS FAT12").
-> Click on the "Inject directory" button.
-> Select a folder with somes that you want on the floppy.
-> Click on the "Export" button and save the HFE file.

------------------------------------------------------------
For the HXCSDFE.CFG file :
-> Menu Drive -> SD HxC Floppy Emulator Settings
-> Click on the "Save" button and save this file to your Sdcard.

(Note: The SDCard must be formatted in FAT32).

I will try it

Post by Coyote »

I will try it. Hope I can report me if something is working. Thanks for the quick help.

@Jeff an others: Gratualtion for this work, because on the PC it is running very well with a 1,44MB. If the whole is also working on the Lathe, it is even a little unbeatable work. Thx

Bad HXCSDFE.CFG

Post by Coyote »

The problem with the image is resolved. But the configfile will not created. I don`t know what it is. It will only work with the configfile from your download on the PC.

thx

Oh i have to say that the config files are created on a WinXP and also on an Win7.

Yes, of course

Post by Coyote »

I used the actually software.
And i create it with this. I saved the software directly on the SD Card. And every time the emulator said: bad configfile, whatever configs i have chosen.

What is your firmware version ?

Could you send me the config file present on the sdcard ?

Is your SDCARD formatted in FAT 32 ?
