Arburg 221M Multronica

Post by stilpenza »

Hello all.
I need your help with starting of my Arburg 221M Multronica.

While I flashed my Gotek, I did all the steps from the instructions. The last step was:
"7 - Insert the USB Stick in the emulator. The counter should pass to "000" -> "002" and then "003" ("003" -> HxC Bootloader installed)
After this the HxC firmware is installed automatically from the upd file ("Ldr" message) and ~10 seconds
later you should see the HxC firmware message "HxC" or "Nor" on the 7 segments screen.

From this point you can switch off the emulator and remove all the installation files from the stick."

I saw "002" and then "003". After that I saw "Ldr" message, but nothing has been changing since that. I waited for 10 minutes and nothing. Is this ok?

Also I want you to explain some features.

What should I do with my emulator? Add any jumpers?

Thank you for your help.

If you always see this message, you probably still have to finish the firmware installation process : Copy the latest firmware UPD file present into the firmware archive and insert the USB stick

Emulator jumper setting: S0/ID0A
Can you see S0?

If this is a photo of your GOTEK, what is the jumper connection of the J5 JA pins ?
S0 jumper is correctly inserted.

Yes, this is my Gotek's photo.
The jumper connection of the J5 JA pins was installed buy a manufacturer. I don't know why.

Thank you

New problem...

I copied files from https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_dri ... COPYLOG.7z into my USB stick, and put it into my machine. So "wrong disk"...

Why do the files .hdf have such names ?
Didn't you read the documentation that https://hxc2001.com/docs/gotek-floppy-e ... oting.html ?
In your case, GOTEK must work in INDEXED mode

In this mode the file images must be named DSKA0000.HFE, DSKA0001.HFE, DSKA0002.HFE,…

Since the version v3.1.39.1a you can add anything after the DSKAxxxx prefix (Example : DSKA0006_myfloppyname.img).

Show what the hfe file names look like.
Did you save the configuration file for INDEXED operation in Gotek on the pendrive?
Are you sure the .hfe are for Arburg 221M Multitronic?

I took hfe-files from here:
https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_dri ... COPYLOG.7z

I tried to copy original files and renamed files

I used the configuration file from original file. Also I used from here:
