1. The floppy emulator is a great invention. However, still it´s the small RAM capacity that limits on old equipment. I don´t expect such an invention that can expand the RAM but that would be very welcome
2. The project page is in both english and french, but it would be very nice if someone could translate the links from the project page to english such as this:
3. The stand alone unit, does it work as a hard drive independent of a computer? The pictures shows several display verisons of it. One with an LCD and one with a two digit LED and one with just a set of four LED lamps. Are those different reversions or can we choose? to my design I´m planning, a LED with two digits or so wold fit.

it's a floppy emulator, so the emulated device has the same capacity that a 1.44MB/720KB floppy. you can also put up to 32GB of floppy image files on the sdcard.

Regarding the displays. Will I be able to order one with LED instead? or modify it to LED, I really prefer LED which only tells the file number in front of LCD:s.

It´s just that I like the simplicity of a small led and it also lights up and looks better aesthetically. But ofcourse, if the floppy emulator gives the possibility to write and give each file a name it would require an LCD.
