Hi Jeff.
The S950 is able to accept the image and will display/list the floppy content, enabling me to scroll through the titles of the various samples. Is this what you mean?

Jeff, with regards to my previous post, is this what you meant when you asked if I was 'able to list the floppy content'?

Jeff, how likely is it that a solution exists that will resolve the issue of the HxC'x incompatibility with HD disk images when being used with the S950?

A solution exist for sure, but to find it i must have a close look (with an oscilloscope...) to the S950 to understand the problem. (I don't have the S950...)
Maybe someone else can help here ?

Something to try :

Put an 56K resistor on R18 (S950 original value) and replace the 74LS38 chip by a 74LS00 on the HxC.

Ok Jeff, I have ordered a 74LS00 chip and shall post back once I have received it and tried it out.

The 74LS00 and 74HC00 chips have now arrived and I shall be trying them out in the HxC later on.

I have put a resistor matching that of the original value back on R18 as instructed. Is a connection still required between #30 of the floppy data cable and the +5 wire of the floppy power cable in order to supply the necessary voltage?

I have spent the last few hours attempting to successfully save and load to HD floppy images with both the 74LS00 and the 74HC00 chip but the situation remains the same.

I have attempted with both firmware 6.0.0 and 6.3.6
I have tried with various SD cards and also different floppy cables.

Please advise.

I have tried the new firmware with all three chips and still no success.

I am able to save and load to the DD images as before but when trying to save to a HD image the S950 will display either 'disk not mounted' or 'disk is not prepared. You must format it'.

When trying to load from a HD images it will start to load and then the S950 will display 'Bad data from disk', same as before.

Can you see the floppy content with a HD floppy disk image ?
