Is it possible somehow to extract the parameters fron an existing HFE file ?
what I would like to do is :
* create an "empty" hfe file (with some safe default settings)
* format it on some computer
* get the number of sectors, size, gap, interleaving infos back so I can create other HFEs easily.
Of course copying the formatted one is a solution, but it would be nicer this way, no ?

Actually you cannot "format" the disk. So the best way is : get a floppy and use the dump tool.pulkomandy wrote:Is it possible somehow to extract the parameters fron an existing HFE file ?

After this export it to HFE AND to IMG.
After this have a look to the logs.
