SD Floppy Emulator HXC-MAX USB connection?

I noticed the device has what looks like a USB-C port on its back side. Can it be used to transfer the data to/from the chosen image, or the SD card as a whole?

No, this is just a pure 5V power supply input on these revision.

Pity.

The reason I was asking is because there are some units in existence (like this Gotek UFA1M44-100) which are explicitly built to emulate a floppy drive on a machine with USB connection, so it would be reasonable to expect similar functionality on an SD card reader unit. That, and I haven't found an aesthetically pleasing Shugart to USB adapter to plug it to a modern machine should such a need arise.
