Arburg 270C 300 80

Post by andree1609 »

Hello,
I would like to replace the floppy drive in my Arburg 270C 300-80 with a USB emulator.

This project was started by my predecessor, and I would like to continue it. Currently, I have a Gotek SFRKC30.AT3 emulator.

I also received system files for this machine from Arburg but with CF format. along with the ARBURG_CompactFlashManager software.

However, I am not sure about a few things:

whether the Gotek emulator has been properly flashed
whether the USB stick is prepared correctly (file system, file structure, etc.).

After connecting the emulator, I can change the disk number on the Gotek, but the machine does not detect any data.

Could someone please help and explain:

how to properly go through the entire setup process,
how to correctly prepare the USB stick for this machine,
whether additional flashing of the Gotek is required,
if there is any reliable step-by-step guide available?

Thank you in advance for any help.

The Compact Flash data need to be converted to file image for the emulator.

Is the control unit a Multronica or a Selogica unit ?

About the Gotek firmware, to be sure to have the right one, you can install HxC Firmware for Gotek from this point :

https://hxc2001.com/store/

Or you can get a ready to be installed HxC Floppy Emulator from Lotharek, they are used by many Arburg machine owners :
