OverlayLoadError Message?

Post by c.puidokas »

Hi -

I have 2x E-MU Emulator II's using Gotek emulators as Disk 1. I'm having an issue loading sounds - occasionally I get an 'OverlayLoadError' message and it won't let me load a new sound. This is happening on both units so my initial thought is that it has something to do with the files on the USB stick. Has anyone ever experienced this or has any clue as to how I should approach troubleshooting it?

Discussed on the HxC Facebook group : Not an HxC floppy bug : This gotek doesn't have the HxC firmware...

- UPDATE -

I went ahead and re-flashed the Gotek drive with HXC bootloader/firmware which worked fine.

Unfortunately, I am still getting the same OverlayLoadError message occasionally.

I'm concerned that the saved file structure on the USB drive itself may be an issue related to this. Can anybody shed some light into this.

Thanks
