Hello,
I want to change the FZ1 Floppy with an Emulator. Anyone with a working device in a Casio FZ1.
can someone explain the difference between the Gotek Versions
- SFR1M44-U100
- SFR1M44-U100K
- 3.5" USB SSD Floppy Disk Drive Emulator 144 MB HN
Or is the Hardware the same and it depends on the Firmware? The above Version U100K seems to be functional for my FZ1 because of the info 1,44MB 2HD the FZ1 uses. But the info (SFR1M44-U100K not support jumpers) scares me.
I found the following description in the bay:

Which Gotek version for casio FZ1
Re: Which Gotek version for casio FZ1
Hi I am running the SFR1M44 Gotek in a FZ-10m (rackmount FZ-1) which has been flashed with the latest HXC FW. I had few issues to start with but it was FW related.
The differences in revisions I believe relate just to their stock FW's. There is very little or no difference in the hardware unless you have the SFR72 type drive with two digit display, I have one of these also and it works in the FZ aswell.
If its a brand new Gotek unit from any auction site you will need to get the bootloader and FW flashed anyway before fitting to the Casio so it shouldn't make any difference.

Re: Which Gotek version for casio FZ1
The SFR1M44-U100 and SFR1M44-U100K are identical besides the case color so I guess you should pick the black one to match the FZ-1.
BTW when looking for one of these emulators just search the words floppy emulator on ebay (or aliexpress) and look closely at the picture for the listing. You want one with a 3 digit display which indeed both the aforementioned models have.
