first time

Hello All,

I am very happy with my Atari 1040STE and i have just recieved the SLIM version
of the HXC floppy emulator.

I have formatted a 2gb SD card(fat32) and have put the upd (latest firmware). on it.

No success until now, if im correct it does try to do it but fails after some rapid flashing and then ....3 interval led flashing......
FAT error ? i have no clue...

Anyone can help me out?

I have also tried to format the SD card again and put the 2 files on it to start the bootselector program.
(autoboot.HFE and the HXCSDFE.CFG) but nothing happens , the STE just starts up like normal(without the emulator)


I am new at this so please excuse me if i did something wrong....

Hello Sjakie43,

The problem may come from the data cable: the red border of the data cable must be near the power cable. By default, the cable cannot be plugged in this way because there is a small locking tab that blocks the insertion. I had to remove it with a cutter on my HxC Floppy Slim.

Below, the photo of my data cable plugged into the card where you can see the red border of the cable near the power cable:
