HxC install on Linux Mint i3 wm

Hi, and excuse me for the ignorance - I am not very familiar with compiling from source. So I go into the build directory and run make, and it errors out 'checking for X' ... no. I was pretty sure i3 used X11, and was hoping someone could shed some light as to why it was not finding my X windows install?

Neverming - libx11-dev did the trick...
