Farnell LCDs

Post by Dr_Righteous »

Wanting to keep my parts from a singular source, I searched Farnell for the LCD panel. Found this white on black panel that would blend in nicely with my case. I was wondering if it would work in the new stand alone design. Farnell part #9448640

Compare that screens datasheet to the datasheet at http://www.mantech.co.za/ProductInfo.aspx?Item=72M0476 (TOPWAY LMB162ABC) or the "official" LCD datasheet for the answer. I found the TOPWAY LCD to be compatible and it has some detail in the datasheet.

I think I answered my own question. Looking at the original schematics, the EVERBOUQUET - MC1602X-SYR has all the same pins and voltage requirements, with exception to backlighting. Being a white on black display it doesn't use backlighting.

Hmm, these address maps don't seem to line up. That could be problematic.
