Is this Correct? I'll try and post the results.
yes exactly.

I made some tests yesterday too, without any success for the moment (the emulator being connected internally).
I will maybe make some extra tests this evening, I also built the cable for an external connection just in case.
This week-end, I hope to find some time to work on it (during the VieuMikro retrocomputing event). Here I'll have the right tools to make some extensive tests.
According to various sources on the net, the floppy interface may be in Shugart mode.
With RAW load and some interface modes[1] the emulator reads tracks 0 to 3 and x68000 stops with a Japanese message on screen. Maybe a copy protection warning or something?Jeff wrote:DFL wrote:Load Disk -> Set Interface Mode (ID doesn't matter) -> Export to HFE.Jeff wrote: yes in the windows software.

good!DFL wrote:Well, it's working!
Motor On as Floppy_DS and interface mode as Generic Shugart.
Two disks games doesn't work, because the both discs need to be insert and units 0 and 1 at the same time. Maybe 2 emulators, but with Motor ON, the emulator responding for all "drives letters" and dont' know how to connect two at the same cable. (DS jumpers position doesn't matter after Motor ON selected)
Using a straight one. I'll try to twist this cable again to see what hapens.Jeff wrote:good!DFL wrote:Well, it's working!

are you using a "twisted" floppy cable?
no no it's not useful!DFL wrote:Using a straight one. I'll try to twist this cable again to see what hapens.Jeff wrote:good!DFL wrote:Well, it's working!

Hey Torlus, did you take a chance to look at your x68?Torlus wrote:Eh, interestingI'm also trying to make it work.

Hey Jeff, can you include these filters in the next software release? Load Raw works great, but it's an extra step to convert the images.Jeff wrote:
*.xdf and *.hdm are raw file (data sector only). To load them use the "Load Raw image" button with these parameters:
Track type: MFM
Two sides floppy
Number of track : 77
Sectors per track : 8
Sector size: 1024
RPM: 360
Bitrate: 500000
which one ? the write protect support ?Pryanick wrote:Hi Jeff
Would you be so kind to implement Sven Henze's changes in your final firmware version?
Because his changes are of interest to other users of your HxC prototype.
Merci bien.

Why you should use a ramdisk ?galine wrote:Hello,
I will try soon the HXC on my XVI in external but IF I understand I must use ramdisk the problem is I have just 2 mo of ram and for that I must have more ram somes games whant 8 mo.
Why the HXC doesn't work on X68000 like atari ST or amstrad?
Thanks for you'r reply
