Removing LCD from Gotek

Hi everyone,

Very green question here - I've just acquired a Gotek unit (all working fine) but it has the 2 line LCD display attached, which I don't actually want in my Atari ST case (to keep things as OEM as possible). I'm happy to revert back to the basic 3 digit display.

From the current connections (see picture attached) I am assuming I just desolder everything off the Gotek board that connects to the UC-146 controller, apart from I'd leave on the green & white at J7 and connect these back to J1 the 3 digit display PCB?

Forgive me if this is a trivial question and easy to do, but I wanted to make sure

Correct - you can unsolder everything, the third button too. But all 4 pins from J7 are to go to the segment display...
